Deborah Montgomery, Chief Associate
Deborah has more than twelve years of experience in the non-profit and
public education grant development and management sector.
She also holds several post-secondary degrees and educational
training experiences that have prepared her for working in a
field that requires knowledge of grants and government
contracts. Most relevant, she holds a Bachelors Degree in
Political Science from the California State University of Bakersfield as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Doctorate Degree. Deborah has been awarded well over $30 million in the grants that she has written during the past 6 years for Resource Associates and is nationally recognized as an expert in grant development. Deborah is a strong leader who is responsible for managing the company’s quality control services, business system, and administrative staff.

Pauline Garn
, Grant Specialist
Ms. Garn is responsible for managing the grant prospect research activities of the company as well as coordinating the Resource Associates' grant alert system. She is an experienced grant researcher who has mentored and trained some of the best grant writers in the nation on how to write and profile grant opportunities with customer needs. She identifies the very best grants for our clients in terms of potential award rate and alignment with the clients' goals and mission. Ms. Garn brings with her a strong background in education and research grants. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education specializing in the fields of Language Arts, Science and Social Studies, as well as an AS in Business. She has New Mexico licensure to teach and has more than eight years of experience in the field of education, working with and teaching children in an elementary education setting. She also is a certified mentor for new teachers just entering the teaching field. She has attended multiple trainings on related educational issues such as best teacher practices, child guidance and counseling, class management, multiple intelligence's, active vs. cooperative learning, grant writing, grant research, student led teacher conferences and integrating the No Child Left Behind legislation. She has also collaborated on successfully writing several state, federal, and foundation grants during her career.

Phil Henry, Contract Administrator
Mr. Henry works in our Vendor Services Department and brings over 40 years of business experience to this position. As a contracts expert, Mr. Henry manages and coordinates the annual retainer agreements with our vendor clients, as well as the vendor-based reciprocal agreement service system. As a graduate of the California Maritime Academy, he holds a BSME and was formerly an officer in the USNR and a licensed Merchant Marine. Mr. Henry has held many professional positions throughout his career, which include working as the president of Commercial Consultants Corporation, a marketing and consulting firm serving the hospitality industry of Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Henry has also worked as the president of Gray Electronics, Inc., an international technology licensing company. Mr. Henry brings a valuable and multi-disciplined wealth of experience and expertise to Resource Associates to ensure that our vendor and retainer-based clients are well protected and supported in the grant development process.

Traci Goff, Client Network Manager
Ms. Goff has over 12 years of experience in the development and writing of federal, state, and foundation grants for such organizations as the Oregon Health and Science University, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, and the Department of Human Services for Multnomah County, Oregon. Ms. Goff has successfully applied for, and received funds from such federal agencies as the US Department of Justice, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Education, and the National Science Foundation. Her areas of grant writing expertise include public health, domestic violence and child abuse, mental health and substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, disabilities, housing, and various fields of science. Ms. Goff has facilitated several workshops and training sessions on strategic planning and the fundamentals of successful grant writing. Ms. Goff is currently responsible for performing quality control for the company’s grant writing activities as well as supervising and providing professional development to our grant writing staff.

Marissa Berg, Outreach Manager
As Resource Associates' Outreach Manager, Ms. Berg heads the marketing and sales department, informing organizations of the company's many grant related services. She explains the steps that needs to be taken to pursue grant funding successfully. Her goal is to help organizations find the "perfect" fit with Resource Associates' services to achieve their funding goals. Ms. Berg understands the passion behind an organization's mission, working closely with non-profit organizations and government entities as a NBC and CBS affiliate television news producer and reporter. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in Journalism with a concentration in Biological Sciences and has completed an intensive study in the field of grant writing and non-profit fundraising. In most cases, Ms. Berg acts as your first point of contact with Resource Associates.

Pam Fite, Client Network Manager
Pam Fite serves as the Client Network Manager for our new Texas Branch Office. She has 30 years of experience in public education. She worked 21 years as an administrator (12 of those as an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology) in a mid-sized school district in Northeast Texas. Pam has experience writing, managing, budgeting, and evaluating grants from a variety of funding sources. She is available for consultation on most all educational issues and has current knowledge of No Child Left Behind and the requirements of that statute, such as using research-based strategies in schools to address identified needs. As an experienced staff developer and presenter, Pam serves as a trainer for Resource Associates, mentoring new grant writers and evaluators interested in adding these skills to their areas of expertise. Pam has a Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy, Deaf Education and Educational Psychology and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration.
