With Resource Associates’ grant writer mentoring program - you will be on your way to becoming an expert grant writer consultant in just a couple of days. Resource Associates has had a very successful ten+ year “track-record” of helping thousands of its non-profit, public and business clients acquire hundreds of millions of dollars in grant funding. Now we want to share our strategies and successes with you.

The way it works is very simple. After taking a thorough inventory of your knowledge and experience level of ‘working with grants,’ our team of experts will develop a customized training program tailored towards your specific knowledge gaps and needs. Over the course of two full days, you will receive one-on-one training and hands-on mentoring from an expert grant writer mentor from our firm. This training may cover a variety of topics, such as: advanced writing techniques to obtain federal/state grants; how to identify and apply for foundation funding; strategies for determining one’s probability of award and fit for a grant competition; how to develop a budget narrative; quality control tools and strategies for managing grants and grant budgets; etc. We also have fundraising and capital campaign specialists who are able to customize sessions towards various areas of organizational development. 

For a six-month period after the training is completed, our mentors will be available for 5 additional hours (online and/or via phone) to provide you with additional support and coaching. This includes help with identifying grants, writing grants, reviewing grant proposals, or assisting with the development of fundraising prospect studies, etc.
