Grant Writing and Capacity
Building Services for School Districts, Schools, Higher Education Institutions,
and Education Agencies
Resource Associates offers an affordable, full service, grant development
program designed to assist education agencies in acquiring the grant funding
needed to meet and exceed their student achievement goals and service
priorities. Comprised of professional grant writers, administrators, professors,
and educational practitioners, Resource Associates offers strategic planning,
education-focused grant proposal writing, grant evaluation, and related
professional consulting services to hundreds of education agencies throughout
the United States.
As a client of Resource Associates, you will receive top quality grant
development services that are individualized to meet the budgetary and
programming needs of your education agency and its student and family
consumers. From entitlement to the federal TRIO grants to discretionary
NCLB competitions, our team has the expertise to prepare grant proposals
that are likely to be awarded and implemented with limited burden on your
staff.
Through our unique client needs assessment, grant competition profiling, and grant proposal development process, Resource Associates’ services will likely produce the following outcomes for your education organization:
- A reduction in the time commitment of staff who are responsible for writing grants in addition to other administrative and/or teaching duties.
- An increase in your staff’s time availability for strategic
planning and other vital leadership activities.
- Improved communication and cooperation between administrative offices
and “schools” in the grant development and implementation
process.
- Enhanced delivery of high quality, grant funded programs.
- Elimination of last minute, piecemealed grant proposals and non-aligned programs.
Resource Associates’ services can quickly result in millions of dollars in discretionary grant revenue for your education agency. Our services include, but are not limited to the following:
- After thoroughly discussing your organization’s funding needs
and short term/long term educational improvement goals, our team will
research upcoming funding opportunities and will develop a detailed
report of grant competitions for which you are eligible to apply and
likely to be awarded. Depending on the type of funding your organization
needs, this ‘Grant Research Opportunity’ (GRO) report will
typically include anywhere from 20 funding competitions to 50 plus.
We only put the most appropriate funding opportunities in the report
which will reduce time and future research efforts as you prepare your
annual grant development schedule with our staff. This also places
you in our grant alert system so that when new grants come out, we will
alert you and offer you consulting in making the decision whether to
go for the grant or not -- free of charge. The GRO report development
process takes up to four weeks to complete, at which time we will e-mail
you your GRO report and then engage in a conference call to thoroughly
review the report, prioritize the funding opportunities, and establish
your grant schedule for the year. Fee: $500
- Coordination of an in-depth, one-day, strategic planning session that includes the active involvement (and surveying, as appropriate) of district/school/community stakeholders to better identify the comprehensive funding needs, goals, and priorities of your organization and its constituents. A funding needs assessment and ‘Grant Research Opportunity’ (GRO) report are then developed (in articulation with these priorities) and reviewed with you for the purpose of establishing an annual schedule of high priority grants to be tracked and pursued by your organization. Fee: $2,800 (plus travel and per diem)
- Professional grant proposal writing services that include the collaborative planning of the grant program design, development of the full narrative and budget, and submission of the proposal. Every step of the grant writing process is designed to incorporate strategic planning between our team and key staff members/stakeholders of the client agency so that grant dollars and programs produce quality solutions – individualized to address the needs and potential capacity restraints of the client and its consumers. Fee: $500 to $2,800 per grant (depending on the length of the grant narrative)
- Third party evaluation services that include onsite grant start-up assistance, process and outcome evaluation system development, creation and delivery of assessment tools, delivery of grant monitoring activities, preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports as required by the funder, and ongoing technical assistance and support from the Resource Associates’ grant evaluation team. Fee: Typically 10% of the grant award
- Professional training for clients and stakeholder groups on a variety of grant-related topics, which include:
• One-on-one mentoring and coaching sessions on grant writing, grant management, evaluation and/or fundraising
